Product Summary

MetrixSlide MS-FMR-2U-100 friction server rails are designed for standard 19-inch racks and 1U to 4U server chassis 436–439 mm wide. They install without tools, carry 100 kg, and are supplied with custom rail lengths and mounting-hole positions. In the factory static-load test, one pair of rails held a 100 kg total load, including the chassis, at full extension for 24 hours with no detachment or jamming and with function retained. The tested rails were 880 mm long and the chassis was 438 mm wide. The result applies to that configuration; a change to the rail length or the mounting details is reviewed for the intended load.

Product Details

MS-FMR-2U-100 core specifications: 2U, 436–439 mm chassis, 100 kg

Built around your chassis dimensions

Start with your chassis depth, width, height and total equipment weight. MetrixSlide selects the rail length and bracket adjustment configuration, then matches the mounting-hole positions to your drawing.

Tool-less front-end mounting

The rails install without tools. Rack-side and chassis-side interface details are reviewed against your chassis drawing.

MS-FMR-2U-100 rear bracket and rail structure

Rear bracket and rail structure

MS-FMR-2U-100 custom rail length and mounting-hole positions

Custom length and hole positions

Once the base rail configuration is selected, we can customize the rail length and mounting-hole positions to suit your chassis. The proposed dimensions and mounting details are reviewed in the drawing stage, followed by sample validation before production.

If a request changes the rail structure or mounting architecture, we assess it as a separate engineering requirement.

Key Features

100 kg load capacity

One pair of rails held a 100 kg total load, including the chassis, at full extension for 24 hours in the factory static-load test.

For 1U to 4U chassis 436–439 mm wide

Built for 1U to 4U server chassis in standard 19-inch racks. Chassis depth and mounting details are checked against your drawing.

Tool-less installation

The rails install without tools. The rack-side and chassis-side interfaces are confirmed during drawing review.

Friction sliding mechanism

A friction slide rather than a ball-bearing slide.

Custom length and hole positions

Once the base configuration is selected, rail length and mounting-hole positions are matched to your chassis and confirmed by drawing review and sample validation.

FAQ

Is this a ball-bearing rail?

No. This model uses a friction sliding mechanism.

What is the load capacity, and how was it tested?

100 kg. In the factory static-load test, one pair of rails held a 100 kg total load, including the chassis, at full extension for 24 hours. The tested rails were 880 mm long with a 438 mm wide chassis. This is an in-house test, not a third-party certification.

Which chassis is this model intended for?

1U to 4U server chassis 436–439 mm wide in standard 19-inch racks. Share the chassis depth and mounting details so we can confirm the rail configuration.

Can the rail length and mounting holes be customized?

Yes. Both can be adapted to the application, with final dimensions confirmed through drawing review.

Can you supply a different rail length?

Yes. We review the required length, mounting details and equipment weight together, then confirm the drawing and sample configuration.

What are the MOQ and sample lead time?

Sample quantity and order quantity are agreed with the project. For a customized version, sample pairs are typically ready 15 to 20 days after drawing approval. Samples are quoted with the project.

Check the fit for your chassis

Send the chassis depth, width and U height, the total equipment weight including the chassis, and a mounting drawing, CAD file or clear photos. We reply with a rail recommendation within 24 hours.

How we work together

From first conversation to installed rails in eight steps

The same process for a standard kit or a fully custom rail: you send the inputs, we return drawings, samples prove the fit, then we build the full order and support installation.

  1. 01

    Discuss your requirements

Application, server type, quantities and timeline. An engineer joins the first conversation.

  2. 02

    Send chassis & rack parameters

Chassis drawing or model, width and depth, mounting features, rack post distance and load.

  3. 03

    We deliver a 2D / 3D model

A rail matching proposal within 24 hours, then 2D drawings or a 3D model for your review.

  4. 04

    You place a sample order

Typically 10–100 pairs, enough to test fit and function on real chassis and racks.

  5. 05

We tool up and produce samples

Custom dies are made in-house, samples are built, inspected and shipped to you.

  6. 06

You validate and place the full order

Physical fit and load checks on your side, then the design is frozen and the production order confirmed.

  7. 07

    Volume production and delivery

Full-quantity production under ISO 9001 controls, export packing and shipment by sea or air.

  8. 08

    Installation with our support

Installation guidance and after-sales support from the factory for every kit delivered.
